How to Get Rid of Pet Odours in Carpet

It is great to have a pet in home but this have one major drawback – odours. You pet can have an accident at any time, resulting in an unsightly and smelly stain on your carpet. Treating the stain immediately is advisable if you don't want a permanent stain on your carpet. However, some commercial cleaners can be quite expensive, so here is a relatively cheap and simple solution to successfully remove pet stains along with the odour from your carpets.

Instructions
  1. Grab a box of baking soda and sprinkle it over the entire carpet. The baking soda will help eliminating the pet odour, and also will absorb any excess moisture from the carpet. Allow it to sit for about 10 minutes and rub it into the carpet using a bristled brush. Wait for another 10 minutes before proceeding to the next step.
  2. Vacuum the the entire carpet thoroughly to remove the baking soda. Go over each area several times in different directions to ensure that all of the baking soda has been picked up, as advised cleaners Battersea.
  3. Use a carpet cleaning machine to shampoo the entire carpet as following the manufacturer's instructions.
  4. Let the carpet to dry completely and then sprinkle baking soda again to remove any remaining pet odour. Vacuum the carpet to remove the baking soda.
  5. Sprinkle a carpet sanitizer and rub it into the carpet using a brush. This will take care of some of the odour from future accidents.
