Pack Your Books For a Home Move

Books are often some of the most valuable items we have especially if you are a collector like me. Books can easily be damaged during home moving so you may need some tips that will help you keep you books safe when moving to a new home.

1. Use small to medium boxes when packing your books. One book is light but when you place many books in one box it can get really heavy. If you do not want to hurt your beck by lifting a too heavy box full of books, it is best to utilize medium moving boxes.

2. Group books by size. When sorting your books make sure that smaller books with soft covers should be put in one box while those which are larger and have hard covers should be put in another one. This way you will be able to fill the boxes more complete.

3. Utilize moving supplies to fill empty space. You may have books in different sizes and shapes and placing them in one box often means that there will be free space in the box. Just take some packing paper, bubble wrap or newspapers and fill in empty spaces. It is very important to be done if you want to prevent your books from any damages while the London removals company you have hired transport them to your new home.

4. Label the moving boxes that contain books with the word “books”. Thus the movers will know that the boxes may be heavy and they should be careful with them. What is more it is will quite easier for you to unpack your items when they are labelled.

If you have a lot of books you should know that the more things you want to move the more expensive the moving will. So if your book collection is impressive, better look for cheap removals. If you have any books that you do not want anymore, donate them to the local library or just give them to a friend.
