Stop looking any more because here you will find what you need to remove the grease from your carpet easily and efficiently. Read the tips below, and proceed to the grease stain as quickly as possible.

Instructions
  1. Scrape the excess grease off the carpet using a dull knife, then blot any remaining residue with paper towels. Make sure to lift as much of the grease as possible before going to the next step.
  2. Prepare a solution of 1 quart of water, ¼ teaspoon of liquid dish soap and 1 tablespoon of ammonia in a spray bottle. Use a bleach- free dish soap to avoid discolouration of the carpet, as carpet cleaning professionals advise.
  3. Spray the solution onto the grease stain but be careful not to over spray the area. The excess moisture can penetrate to the floor beneath the carpet, dragging the grease along with it.
  4. Use paper towels or a white rag to blot the stain and work the cleaning solution into the carpet. Re-apply cleaning solution to the stain as necessary and continue blotting until the stain is gone.
  5. Spray clean water to rinse, as watching not to soak the area.
  6. Cover the wet area with a clean rag or a stack of paper towels and place a heavy weight on top to help absorb moisture from the bottom of the carpet. Let sit like this until the carpet dries, then remove the weight and the rag. Vacuum to restore the natural nap of the carpet.
However, if your carpet is very expensive or antique, and you are worry not to damage it, consider using professional carpet cleaning services to remove the grease stain from it.
