How to Prevent a Fire in Your Home

When moving out we are always in a hurry. We need to finish the entire work on time and sometimes we forget about the safety measures, especially during the end of tenancy cleaning, when we have to deal with a lot of things at the same time. However, we always need to be very careful, with the fire, it can be very devastating. Do not forget the fire can spread very quickly and can become deadly for a short time. Here are some tips top follow to prevent a fire in the house.

1. If you smoke, do not leave cigarette butts and matches to a place, where the children can reach them. Ensure to keep ashtrays clean and safe.

2. Do never smoke in bed and do not permit guests to smoke in bed too. You should also avoid smoking while lying on the couch, you may fall asleep.

3. Keep the lighters away from children.

4. You should not forget to extinguish the candles when you are finished with them, and ensure that you keep them to a place where they will not accidentally be knocked over. Pay special attention in case you have children and pets.

5. You should often check the electrical appliances to make sure that you do not overload the electrical circuits.

6. Have a fire extinguishers near the kitchen, fire place and do not forget the garage. Examine them regularly, or at least once a year to check the pressure and  the expiration date.
