How to Get Red Juice Stains Out of a Carpet

Drinks, such as grape and cranberry juice, can stain a carpet permanently leaving a nasty red stain if prompt cleaning measures are not taken while it is still fresh. Once dried, the red juice stain can be impossible to remove. The best chance to remove a red fruit juice stain successfully from a carpet is to tackle the stained area while it is still moist to the touch.

Here are some free tips provided by carpet cleaning Clapham to help you remove red juice stains when they occur on your carpet.
  1. Use a towel to blot the area affected by spilled red juice until all excess liquid has been absorbed into the towel. Launder the towel immediately if you wish to keep it without permanent staining.
  2. Cover the stained area with table salt, and let it sit like this for an hour. Vacuum up the salt from the carpet and inspect the area. If the stain remains, spray white vinegar directly onto the stain using a spray bottle. Blot with a clean cloth and re-apply the vinegar to the area. Repeat spraying and blotting until the stain is gone.
  3. If the red juice stain is still visible, use an oxidizing bleach-based carpet cleaner that contains hydrogen peroxide or sodium percarbonate. Spray the stained area with the cleaner, and rub the cleaner into the carpet working gently with a cloth dampened in warm water. Rinse the oxidizing bleach out of the carpet by blotting the area with a dry, clean cloth. Press the cloth firmly against the carpet to help absorbing the solution.
If the red juice stain has already dried, you may need to call professionals, such as carpet cleaning Clapham team, to remove the stain successfully.
