How to Clean Bathroom Tiles

There are many things in a bathroom that can turn the shiny tile floor into an unsightly mess. Soap and shampoo scum stuck on the bathroom tiles as well as dirt and grime on the grout can make your entire bathroom look dirty. Keeping your bathroom tiles clean will not only preserve the nice appearance of the bathroom, but it will also reduce the amount of bacteria. Here are a few simple steps to follow when cleaning your bathroom tiles.

Instructions
  1. Take everything that may be on the bathroom floor such as trash cans, rugs and small pieces of furniture out of the room.
  2. Vacuum the floor to remove dust, dirt, hair and other debris. You can use a broom to sweep the floor if vacuuming is not possible.
  3. Combine warm water with oxygen bleach in a ratio as instructed on the label of the bleach package.
  4. Pour the solution on the entire tile floor, and let it sit for about 20 minutes before starting to scrub the grout with a small bristled brush such as toothbrush.
  5. Mop the floor with clean water, then flush it again with the bleach solution.
  6. Wait for a few minutes and mop with clean water to rinse the floor.
  7. Use a dry towel to absorb any residual moisture from the tile floor.
  8. Allow the floor to dry completely before replacing the items you have removed at the beginning. Open windows to speed up the drying process as pros would do if you were using professional cleaning services.
If there is a clause in your rental agreement to execute end of tenancy cleaning before you leave the property, make sure your bathroom is sparkling from cleanliness as many landlords would refuse your rent deposit if it is not.
