How to Remove Stubborn Stains from Clothes

Stains should be removed immediately when occur as they can make your clothes look worn and dingy. However, some stains are very stubborn and it will be more than difficult to remove them even if you begin treating them at the very moment they appear. Fortunately, there are a few simple techniques that can help you to remove those stubborn stains effectively and restore the fresh and clean look of your clothes.

Instructions
  1. Make sure you have the following items on hand before start cleaning up stubborn stains: powder detergent, rubber gloves, water and toothbrush. You will also need a washing machine to launder the cloth after cleaning.
  2. Make a pasty solution of ½ cup of water and ½ cup of powder laundry detergent. You may need to alter you measurement slightly to get a thin, pasty mixture at the end.
  3. Put rubber gloves to protect your hands from the detergent, and spread the paste on both sides of the stained area. Use a toothbrush to rub the solution into the fabric, and leave it to work on the stain for at least two hours.
  4. Put the cloth into your washing machine, and launder it with cold water because heat water may cause some stains to become permanent. Inspect the cloth for any remaining stain before putting it into the dryer. Repeat all steps if the stain is not removed completely.
