Do not waste valuable time and money looking for the perfect and expensive chemical-based carpet cleaning solution. Now you can make effective all-purpose toxic-free carpet cleaner with ingredients that you have in your home. Just follow the step bellow and you will see how easy and cheap you can clean your carpet.
- The first step is to make a mixture of a quarter cup of mild liquid dish washing detergent, pay attention to the label, the solution must not contain bleach or alkaline and add one litre warm water.
- You should mix thoroughly the detergent.
- Before applying the mixture to the spot you need to test it, to make sure that it will not damage or discolour the carpet. Spray a little amount of the solution to a hidden area and wait several minutes.
- Spray the solution directly to carpet, on a small area, and use a sponge or a medium-bristle brush to scrub the cleaning detergent into the fabric.
- Soak a sponge with a clean warm water and work over the wet spot to remove excess solution. Repeat this step until no soap comes off onto sponge.
- Now you can move to the next area and repeat the previous steps to clean it.
- In the end blot all areas dry with a white, clean, damp cloth or paper towel.
- For all stubborn stains you can use toothbrush.
- Once it has dried, use a brush to fluff the carpet.
