Removing Blood Stains from Carpets

Everyone tries to avoid the blood stains in their home, because the blood is hard to remove and the blood stains are one of the most difficult to clean. However you cannot avoid the scratches, nose bleeding and cuts, especially if you have kids at home.

Blood stains are hard to remove because the haemoglobin in the blood acts as blinder when it contacts the oxygen and blinds with the carpet material. The blood stains are easy to remove when the blood is still wet. It will be more difficult to remove the dried blood stains on your carpet, so you need to be as quick as possible to make sure your carpet is not damaged.
Removal Methods for Blood Stains
The first method for blood stain cleaning is extremely effective for fresh stains. To clean the spot you will need a spray bottle filled in with cold water. Hot and warm water is not appropriate for blood stain cleaning, because it can set the stain permanently into the carpet. Spray the water on the spot and use a clean dry towel to blot the spot and absorb the moisture from the carpet. You may need to repeat the process several times until the blood is completely absorbed by the towel. Leave the area of the carpet to completely dry and check the spot for any visible stains. If you still see any traces from the blood you may consider using a stronger solution or professional carpet cleaning services.
The second cleaning method can be applied for blood stains that seem harder to remove from your carpet. For the cleaning product you will need one tablespoon of liquid dish washer and two cups of cold water. Mix the ingredients and use a clean cotton towel to apply the detergent on the stained area. Use a soft toothbrush to gently scrub the area so that you will prevent the stain to spread deeper into the fabrics of the carpet. Blot the area using a clean wet towel to remove the blood and the detergent. You may need to repeat the process several times until the stain is completely removed from your carpet. Use a clean dry cloth to absorb the moisture from the carpet and wait a few hours until the area is dry to check for any traces of the blood.
If you did not remove the stain by any of the above cleaning methods, contact with professional carpet cleaning services to protect your carpet and keep your home comfortable and clean place.
